Aritma is a fast-growing Fintech company headquartered in Bergen, and we’re looking for an experienced UX-Designer to take ownership of our design strategy across multiple platforms and products. As the first design hire, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our user experience from the ground up, with the potential to build and lead a design team in the future.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on designer who is excited about being both strategic and operational, driving our design initiatives while working closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the UX and design strategy across all products and platforms.
• Be the first designer at Aritma, working hands-on to create engaging, user-centered designs.
• Conduct user research, create personas, and perform usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineers, and stakeholders to define and enhance the user experience.
• Design wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity visual designs for web 
• Ensure design consistency across products and set the foundation for a scalable design system.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor designs to keep us at the cutting edge.
• Potentially help build and lead a design team as we grow.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a portfolio showcasing both hands-on design work and leadership in design projects.
• Proven ability to work independently as the primary designer and manage all aspects of the design process.
• Mastery of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Strong understanding of UX best practices, interaction design, and usability principles.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and balance business objectives with design constraints.
• Experience in user research methods, usability testing, and A/B testing.
• Fluency in both Norwegian and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
